OR Monthly fees + $4/day for non-Alaska
Club members (the club provides towels, shampoo, etc.)
Additional swimmer(s) per family will be charged $10 less for
each additional child swimming at the Alaska Club.
$25 Maintenance Fee (Both Pools)- For any month your swimmer
is not in the water. Please notify the head coach (akcoach@acsalaska.net) prior to the 1st
of the month in which your swimmer will be out of the water,
otherwise the Treasurer will charge you a full month's dues.
UAF Patty Pool Swimmers
These swimmers may also swim at the Alaska Club with either an
Alaska Club membership or the $4/day fee, payable to the Alaska
Club.
Junior Swimmers (8th graders &

Additional swimmer(s) per
family will be charged $10 less for each additional child swimming
at the Patty Pool. Additional Fees and Costs
Alaska Swimming Registration: $63/annually (must be paid
prior to swimming with the team). A check made out to
“Alaska Swimming Inc” must accompany the registration
form.
For each meet which a swimmer signs up for, there are meet entry
fees, typically between $15 and $30, which must be paid regardless
of whether the swimmer actually competes. The cost is typically
between $15 and $35. Swimmers will also need swimsuits, goggles,
caps, sandals, etc.
Fundraising Requirements
Some teams do extensive fund raising to offset the loss of revenue
during the summer months. Constant fund raising gets tedious and
drives families out of the sport. Stingray Swim Team has two
mandatory fundraisers each year: a raffle in the fall and
the Swim-a-thon in the spring. Families are required to generate a
minimum of $240 per year through their participation. The
maintenance fee and two fundraisers are seen as the fairest ways to
assess the cost of running a "year around" program to each
family.
